We are a small non-profit serving as the Jewish spiritual and cultural oasis on the East End of Long Island, in Manhattan, and beyond
Our office is collaborative and collegial with a small team.
Duties:
§ Conduct routine maintenance tasks as identified by the Head of Maintenace and Business manager
§ Perform general repairs where needed
§ Install and repair doors, windows, and other building components
§ Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs when possible
§ Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
§ Maintain inventory of tools and equipment
§ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
§ Perform landscaping duties as needed
Requirements:
§ Proven experience in a maintenance capacity or similar role
§ Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures
§ Proficient in using hand and power tools
§ Excellent problem-solving skills
§ Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
§ Good communication skills to interact with team members
§ Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
§ High school diploma or equivalent
